	Pharmacy Residents Community Zero Learning Site	Connect to the residency certificate online learning community. Post your personal commentary, questions, calendar notices and of course get the latest on your assignments for the live learning sessions. Please visit the residents Community Zero website and take the Community Zero Virtual Tour of the collaboration software services. Community Zero is a community building website experience which can be used to host many different pharmacy related communication needs. You will also obtain a brand new email address that is hosted at www.pharmacocybernetics.com to use during the certificate program.

1	Teaching with Technology: Nature and Nurture with Windows XP and Vista Utilities	Basics every computer user should know about the Windows XP and Windows Vista operating system. During some presentations this year residents will be introduced to the new Windows 7 OS which is to be released to the public on 10.22.2009. Preventing problems always makes sense so get up to date on good housekeeping practices for efficient computing. If you are using technology to teach students, staff or patients it is important to have your desktop or notebook (netbook?) computer in great shape. Small group presentations can be easily projected with a digital data projector or in some cases sent to a large TV screen.
2	Instructional Photo Shows for the Web, CD-ROM or DVD	Learn about taking digital images with a digital camera and preparing them to live a life on the web or on a cd-rom or dvd in a narrated web slideshow or picture gallery. We'll discuss shooting good teaching photos, archiving them and inexpensive means of editing them. You can also use these teaching strategies to prepare web deliverables for your pharmacy teaching activities.
3	Teaching Handouts: Instructional CD Production	Learn to produce auto booting CD-ROMS which can be duplicated and given to patients, staff or students as learning resources for your course, seminar, conference, or in-service presentation. What are webouts?
4	Audio Teaching Strategies: Production & Distribution	Capture audio resources and then edit and save the audio resources in a variety of useful formats. We'll share recording tips and methods for distributing audio resources to your staff or students. How about some narrated auto booting CDs with your personal Power Point Presentations? Or, how to develop a web page that has audio (or video) implants along with important textual information for educating students, staff or patients.
5	Digital Video for Routine Teaching Presentations	Fire wire, digital tape, USB 2.0, digital video cams, high definiton video? What if you want to shoot some video and use it in a PowerPoint presentation and/or on a course CD? Video can add tremendous impact to all of your teaching activities and their are numerous strategies to do it inexpensively.
6	Streaming Media for Students, Staff and Patients	Retool digital video footage and share it on-demand. Your video can then be accessed anytime, anywhere students, staff or patients have connectivity! Vidcasting presents a great opportunity to customize new teaching broadcast channels for delivery to patients, students, staff and the general public.
7	Personal Clinical Teaching Archives	Discover home and work centered internet based storage systems that facilitate data sharing for use in "stand up comedy" teaching and online education.
8	Handheld Technology: Patient Teaching Strategies	Handheld video players and PDAs can be integrated into everyday patient teaching....stuff they never taught you in pharmacy school.
9	Pharmacy Teaching Center: The Home Network and Home Data Center	Build a secure home network and access your work resources anytime in the comfort of your own home work space. Or be at distant locations and still get to files that reside within your home network...oh yeah!
10	Windows 7 - What's the Big Deal?	On October 22, 2009 Microsoft intends to ship the new Windows 7 operating system. Before you officially leave your residency program maybe it would be wise to take the in-depth tour and have some adult supervision before you dive off the high dive. After all your computing future within pharmacy practice is most likely Windows 7.
